Corporation and foundation giving plays an important role in The University of Montana’s success. Corporations and foundations with interests in education and research will find that UM fits well with their goals and priorities. The University houses a diversity of research and educational programming, including activities focusing on healthcare, minority populations, business, poverty, K-12 educational outreach and the environment. Partnership with the UM Montana Foundation allows our corporate supporters to gain visibility with the University’s many stakeholders as employers, community partners and important benefactors.
Our supporters include The Walton Family Foundation, ALSAM Foundation, M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, BNSF Foundation, Toyota USA Foundation, Charles Engelhard Foundation, Haynes Foundation, The Bernard Osher Foundation, the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation and many others.
The UM Foundation assists faculty in receiving gifts from corporations and foundations, providing proposal support and also ensuring donors are properly stewarded after a gift is made.
Information for faculty on whether to apply for a grant through the Foundation or the UM Office of Research and Sponsored Programs is available on the ORSP website.
