Evans Named Inaugural William C. Shreeve Chair

Former dean Roberta “Bobbie” Evans has been named the inaugural William C. Shreeve Chair in Educational Leadership.

This faculty position was created through private support to honor William C. Shreeve, an exceptional educator who received both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UM.

Evans returned to the college faculty in December 2017 after over a decade as dean of the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education and Human Sciences.

“It’s a thrilling opportunity for me to have been selected to receive this honor, and I am very excited to expand the footprint of important research in educational leadership,” Evans said. “There is absolutely nothing better than working directly with schools and universities to reach more students, more successfully.”
