Vice President of Development
Chris Ritrievi joined the University of Montana Foundation as Vice President for Development in December 2017. He is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the foundation’s comprehensive fundraising program.
Prior to joining the UMF, Chris served as Senior Associate Vice President for Campaign Leadership and Constituent Relations at Virginia Commonwealth University. At VCU, he designed and led the most ambitious capital campaign in the university’s history and co-managed, along with the deans and unit directors, 19 lead development officers.
A veteran of capital campaigns, Chris has worked on the development staffs at Princeton, Pennsylvania, Stanford, Michigan State, Utah and Indiana. He also served as Director of Athletics at the University of Northern Iowa.
Chris is a graduate of Princeton University and earned a masters degree in business administration at Lehigh University. An avid golfer and skier, Chris and his wife Stephanie reside in Missoula.
