Why did you choose UM?
I wanted to go to a college that had an outstanding elementary education program. I loved the environment of the school and campus as well. Plus, it was located close to home.
Why did you decide to pursue elementary education?
I have always wanted to make a difference in the world and have a lot of experience dealing with children of all ages and learning abilities. I wanted to have an impact on the future of America. I like how teaching not only fulfills the minds of students but also my own. As a teacher, I learn something new every day.
Why is being a scholarship recipient meaningful to you?
It shows me that all of my hard work and dedication to my college education has paid off. It also shows me that someone else values these qualities in me.
How has your UM education changed you so far?
My UM education has made me really value community. All of my peers and professors have gone above and beyond to make me feel special. No matter what, I always felt like I belonged.
What are your plans for the future?
I plan to teach at an elementary school in Billings, strive to provide my students with a great education and be the best teacher that I can be.
How do you plan to give back yourself?
I plan to dedicate myself to my job 110% and be committed to educating students to the best of my ability.
