Coronavirus COVID-19 Update

The UM Foundation is committed to taking care of our family of donors, partners and colleagues throughout the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic.

On Thursday, March 26, Montana Governor Steve Bullock issued a statewide stay-at-home order. This order is in effect from 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, March 28 through Friday, April 10.

In alignment with the Governor’s order, the UM Foundation office will be closed during this period. UM Foundation employees will continue to work remotely during this period. Contact information for our employees is available on the Contact Us page on our website.

In order to serve our mission and protect our colleagues and supporters during this state directive, the UM Foundation would like to share important information about our current operations:

  • The UM Foundation continues to accept gifts of private support for the University of Montana.
  • All gifts and pledge payments — whether made by check, credit card, wire transfer or securities transfer — will be processed each week. Please allow two to three weeks for receipts to be delivered. Thank you for your support during this critical time.
  • As our offices are closed, we invite our valued partners to conduct business with the UM Foundation by email, phone or online giving portals: and
  • All UM Foundation-related gatherings and events have been cancelled through April, except for business meetings to be held via teleconference.
