Tera grew up in Brady, Montana and attended the University of Montana before pursuing a career in hospitality. She worked for many hotel management companies in Montana before moving to Virginia and joining Marriott International where she became the Operations Manager of an extended stay hotel. Tera moved back to Missoula with her husband, Coleman, and two dogs in 2020. She joined the UM Foundation in 2022 as the Receptionist/Office Administration Assistant.
